I'm at the beach, in Texas - Woo hooo. Slept to the sound of surf last night, ahhhhhhh. Walked the beach yesterday a couple of times............looked for shells. Beach equals paradise, for me. Gotta go, the seagulls are calling.
Life is good!

No Humidity either, ain't it great! It's unusually delicious weather these days in SE Texas.
Wouldn't it be hysterical if due to Global Climate Change/Warming, Houston dried out somewhat, & quit being the Humidity Capital of the World?!
It has been awhile since I read your blog and was wondering if you are walking the sand with "The Man". I bet you are having a great time if you are. While the rest of women are stuck here in SMA with all the old Bachlor men sitting at the Jardin!
Have a blast and if you are not with "The Man", go out and find you one. The real men live in Texas!!! whooooohoooooo!!
No "man" yet........BUT stay tuned. Ha. Who cares - I've got sand, surf, sun and a Capt Morgan's at day's end. The weather is perfect - I realize I HAVE to live near water...I HAVE to.......Stay tuned.
glad you're having so much fun babs. so, i can't help but wonder, if water means so much to you, why have you spent so many years living in san miguel when then are so many lovely coastal towns in mexico? sounds like life by the water might be in your future-listen to steve-visit melaque.
Interested in knowing why Melaque is not "your cup of tea". I've never been there. But would like to hear your "take". Also, along the Lemons into Lemonade highway, don't you think the best way to use the Ike Disaster, is for Galveston to go MORE AU Natural and say no to Casino, Gambling & Prostition legalization? Because of the slope of the beach and the undertow you can't walk the beach or get in the water except for one place......I don't like the town.......too many tourists......and I personally like small, out of the way bays....with as few tourists as possible........ On the Galveston front, sadly I think Tillman already owns too much on the island and he has the clout of "the boys" in Vegas to get something through the TX. Legislature. Money talks....BTW, I refused to do work for him when I had my firm..it Will be a sad day for the island that I love so much.......
i didn't mean you should move to melaque-just visit. i enjoyed my 2winters in chacala, but i think it is a bit too small for me to live in for the long haul, however, it sounds like you really liked it and i bet you would enjoy living there. the people are wonderful! the beach in melaque sounds like sayulita, i don't care for that place because of the waves. chacala bay is perfect.
