Sometimes life is like music - uptempo and then sometimes like a dirge. Today it's kinda the latter. BUT hopefully by tomorrow, Jimmy Buffet will be playing "Margaritaville" or some honky tonk song will have me dancing again.
I won't be going to the Sea of Cortez or any of the other places I wrote about last week. The fling has flung..........
So, I'll pick up my dashed dreams and carefully pack them away in my travel bag and hope for another day. I've already emailed to friends in the USA about some of the things I had planned to do, but cancelled, to see if they are still doable.
I don't tend to "let the grass grow under my feet". NOT these Gypsy Feet.
As my Dad used to say, "There's always another streetcar". Let's hope so...........

oh babs, i'm so sorry to hear this. however, if it's not meant to be, better to find out sooner than later. i know the right one will eventually come along and in the meantime, as you said, the beat goes on so keep on enjoying your life and living every day to its fullest.
thank you for the nice comments you made about me on cynthia's blog. it was great meeting those guys.
take care and God bless,
teresa
Babs,
Don't forget, down here we say "Cuando Dios quiere". Tell Diosito what you want and then just have patience. You never know. Perhaps HE has something special in mind for you. In the meantime just be ready and have fun.
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully things will brighten up again shortly.
"The fling has flung"...you sure have a way with words. I admire your braveness for putting your heart on the net for all to see. Speaking of hearts, ours are with you.
Babs - Nothing ventured - nothing gained. You have a lot of friends and admirers out here.
All we can do is give things our best shot.
I am glad this was not a long dragged out disappointment - you found out and now we move on with you.
Babs, although this was a bumb on the road and disappointing for you, pick your self back up and know that if he could not see what you were worth then he just wasn't good enough for you. No one can take your sunshine away from you unless you let them. I truly believe that there is a special someone for everyone and there is someone special for you...
Your Texas Friend.
Babs -- Then come on out to San Carlos and meet up with Bliss, Brenda, my brother, and me. It would be a great chance to meet you.
Well Miss Babs, there's a saying up here in Canada, "if you don't shoot the puck, you can't score". It takes a lot of courage to get out there and try and you did it. Cudos to you, and your Aries pride. Aries is the warrior, so I don't think this will slow you down much. All things for a reason Miss Babs, all things for a reason.
Babs, so sorry to hear that it didn't work out. Sounds as though you have the right attitude, I know that will help you get through disappointment.
Hi Everyone! Well, I'm sorry too and so is "The Man". You go into these things hoping for the best and then are obviously disappointed when it doesn't turn out - just like anything in life.
I had a blast for two months - I laughed more then I've laughed in 10 years - The Man was a perfect, kind, gentleman throughout and so I learned, as I always do, from this experience. I dont' regret a thing, other then that it didn't work out.
BUT being an Aries - here I go......stay tuned. And Bob, if Diosito has a plan - he better get a move on cause I have run out of patience.
I'm just so proud of you for having such a good head on your shoulders and able to have clarity about all this even if it is disappointing. You are such a wonderful person and deserve only the best...yeah, I know...I'm prejudiced but it is true. Yep, on to new and greater adventures and chalk this one up to another bump in the road.
The guy got my hackles up when he called you "spoilt" Even if it was only "in jest". Name calling is not romantic and should be outlawed until after 30 years together.

Babs,
I'm with Charley on this. It irked me that he was already judging you and the honeymoon had not even begun. Whatever!
I'm sure he is a nice, fun guy, but he is not the one for you. But now your heart is open and your senses revived. Keep your radar on and be ready for the next adventure.
Being an Aries like you, I am unrelenting in my quest for a happy life. When I was single for quite a long while after my divorce, I kept my attitude upbeat and my dreams intact. There were more than a few toads along the way, but it worked. Now, I swear to you, I am married to the sweetest man the Goddess ever put on this planet. A real man who is sensitive, nurturing, and caring - with a great sense of humor. It has been 19 years of bliss.
All that I dreamed of and he came along after a very tough stretch in my life that made we grow in ways I never imagined.
We are all here rooting you on, amiga.
maria luz
Maria Luz - Thank you so much for your post. I DO hope there is someone out there - I haven't looked in years but NOW that I've decided that I DO want to share my life with a good man - the world better look out cause you know - since we are aries birthday sisters, almost, that we LOVE a challenge and won't stop til we've reached our goals.
BTW, I bought a new Roja Guia map to tell you about the road to Ciudad Victoria. Email me at babsofsanmiguel at yahoo dot com and I'll give you all the info.
