Living in Mexico has been wonderful for my formerly perfection seeking self.
First thing I did was to use every color I could in my house to get over the perfection of the gold, black, beige and white I lived with in Texas. The current house could be used as an advertisement for Sanford & Sons. No rhyme or reason. I love it. Some would call it eclectic.
Then I eventually started buying my clothes at the Tianguis. I do remember being horrified at the beginning before I understood that I could buy the good stuff there for pennies on the dollar that I would pay in Texas. PLUS the thrill of the hunt!
But, I must admit I truly have hit the other side of perfection as of last week.
I went to get a pedicure. It was wonderful at The Nail Lounge. As the girl went to put my two sandals on prior to painting my toenails, I looked at my feet in disbelief. I had on two black sandals but they didn't match! I burst out laughing. I had not even noticed. I confess they were similar but still, not the same. To me it was hilarious.
I'm so happy to be imperfect and see the humor in it. No more wasted days trying to do everything right and not succeeding.
I think I've reached my "state of bliss".
