Velcro and the Blog

Two things have affected my life - Velcro, the PREVIOUSLY feral cat and the blog. How you say? Well Velcro (who I wrote about on 11/27/07) has become the "El Jefe", or boss of the house! It is amazing how something so little can impact your daily routine by wanting to come in, go out, want water, more food, have a blueberry muffin in small bites, etc.etc.etc. Pretty darn funny. Oh the latest, is wanting to drink the water out of the sink when I'm brushing my teeth - now understand she has a waterbowl with fresh water, but noooooooo, she want the water out of the faucet!
Then there's the blog, which is consuming more and more TIME! I would hate to admit how much time I spend reading all of your blogs.........it is SO MUCH FUN and helpful. Today I learned about Mexican cheeses from Flavors of the Sun and laughed at Trixie's job interview somewhere on Dreaming of Isla..........and Steve's picture of he and his brother when they were little at Same Life - New Location .........just to name a few. I think it takes me about an hour now to read all of them daily......but heck, I'm retired - what else have I got to do? (As people from other places always like to say)......................
The other GREAT thing that has come from the blog is that it makes me way more aware of little daily activities and incidents............like the fruit frenzy the other day. It is so much fun to share those things with ya'll. Hopefully you like reading those silly things...............

Cats like free-running water much better than water that's been sitting in a bowl. There are even "fountains" you can buy for especially finicky felines. I know a woman who just leaves her bathroom tap trickling for the cat, though I think that's a tad excessive.

Thanks for mentioning the cheese blog. I'll have to check it out too.

Babs -- What I enjoy is that such a diverse group of bloggers are capable of sharing information with one another and build friendships, while having onviously different views on life. Every day I check in on what everyone is doing -- and especially the comments that readers leave on each post. It makes this planned move even more of an adventure.

Well, living in the desert Bliss, I have become WAY more aware of the preciousness of water and try NOT to waste a drop - our aquifers here have dropped 16 ft in 10 years!!! I never knew about praying for rain living in Houston, ha.........
Steve, YES moving to Mexico is an adventure and one of those things that no matter how much research you do, it doesn't happen THAT way. A sense of humor is WAY important! I DO LOVE THE BLOGS

Peanut loves faucets but more than that he loves the crushed ice dispenser in the door of the fridge. No matter where he is in the house he will come flying to sit under the dispenser waiting for a chunck of ice to play with.

Thank you for spending so much time on your blog and sharing the little tidbits of your daily life. It is well worth it, in my humble opinion.

Kay, well an ice dispenser! Velcro will NEVER see the likes of that with my teeny tiny refrigerator - heck I'm doing good to have room for two ice trays in the freezer!.but, that is a CUTE story!
And Wayne, thanks for the thanks!
