Meditating and Views

I started meditating in 2006.  I think, without being dramatic, that it saved my life.  If not that, at least it centers me daily, which is a good thing.

Here in San Miguel, I meditate every morning until about 9AM in my living room.  I love the sunlight and the feeling.

While at the beach, I sat outside every morning and meditated with these two views.  For me, they are the epitome of tranquility.  I've kept these two views in my mind's eye as I am staying at my son's house until next week.
I've been amazed that I have been able to sit in the room that I'm staying in, but to imagine the view in this photo of the fishermen and somehow kind of transport myself to this paradise with the fishermen.

So, although I'm in a colonia on the outskirts of San Miguel, I can, in my mind, move myself to that other place that I did not want to leave.
I know there is a fancy name for that and I think it is call transference, but whatever it is it is a cool thing to be able to do.

When my daughter was ill, a specialist in that practice taught her how to do that so when she had to have surgery without any medication or anesthesia, she could do so.  It worked too, amazingly.

My only intention  these past ten days was just to retain that sense of peace and tranquility as I meditated that I experienced all day long at Calechosa.

Life is good.
