#1100 and counting!

This, ladies and gentlemen, is my  1100th post!

To me, that is a milestone.

In my wildest dreams when I tentatively started to write six years ago, I couldn't possibly have envisioned that I would still be writing.  I certainly couldn't have envisioned how much
this would have enriched my life.

The readers I've met from all over the world!

The readers who  have become my friends!

It has been one of the biggest and most delicious surprises of my life.

At present there are almost 10,000 readers a month.  I so wonder who you are?  Where you are?  Why you read the blog?  What is it I say that touches you?  It's a real mystery.

Now that I'm at the 10,000 mark, I'm considering adding some discreet ads of local businesses here in San Miguel.  I certainly would like your opinion on this before I do that.  Let me know.  I'm hesitant, but living on Social Security is not that easy and a few pesos would help.  I truly care what you think.

It's been a fun ride.  I intend to keep on rollin' as long as you're there reading..........and I still have something to say!  Okay, old friends, I saw those eyes rolling back in heads, ha.

Thanks for the memories, my friends.

I'm sure you've earned a few ads Barbara. It would not detract from your words. Your posts are always interesting and from the heart. I, for one, will certainly continue reading, ads or no ads.

'Been thinking on that line myself - not sure how I feel - but would not stop reading.

You could do it and tell me if it is worth it.

I use the ads on expat blogs when I'm looking for services off shore, where to rent a place, a car, eat, travel agencies that kind of thing. If they are willing to pay you-Why not?

Go for the ads since we are quite accustomed to them anyway.
Google ads try to be fair and not too obnoxious. Some bloggers make $1000 per month with their ads. That's dollars not pesos!

Do it! You are right, every little bit helps. We're all in that boat. Those that don't like ads can ignore them. We're here to stay. Do what's best for you, that's what we want for you.

Babsblog, I'm one of your followers. Don't aske me why, well, actually I just think that your posts are "chatty". It's like talking with a friend, so keep going and for the ads, I wouldn't mind. Thank you for your messages.

Go ahead with the ads. I will still read your blog as a regular interested reader. You can ignore the ads anyway if you chose to. :)

Hola to ALL - Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. I SO appreciate it.
If you go to the BlogRoll and look at Revolution from Home, she has very tasteful ads on her side panels. That is my intention.....sooner or later. There won't be any flashing neon signs, I promise.
And, so glad to hear from so many of you who are still reading the blog.
Amazing?

Do it . . . seems silly not to. Don't let the opportunity go to waste. Never know what life is going to throw at you next!

Your blog is a lot of fun!

Best, Jennilynn
