No, these aren't my measurements. These are the low morning temperatures we've been having this week. YUK. Woo hee it has been cold. Well, cold to me. Yesterday it only got up to about 58 and that is absolutely way too much for this time of the year..........
Velcro and I have been hunkered down in the bedroom downstairs since Tuesday with pillows lining the window wall to keep out the cold. The bedroom door is closed and the heater and electric blanket have been on for days. Can you tell that I'm not ready for winter?
Actually, other then going upstairs to find something to eat it has been kinda nice to just settle in and read or nap while I watch my face turn into colors similar to the NBC peacock tail.
Not all bad. Not all bad.

The chill has extended North (or from the north) into Arizona/New Mexico also...25 one morning and snow that vanished in hours.
Could be we are in for a cool one this year... Better pack your sand pail and shovel and hit the road soon before its too late!
But please, what happened to Joe? How did he die? How did you learn of this?
Joe had a severe heart condition. He died in his newly finished home on Tuesday afternoon sitting in a chair. I received a call about 5PM that evening. A great loss to all of us. Read Billie's blog for more about this fun, delightful man
I didn't know San Miguel got that cold!! Ever!! Wow.
And I believe that most homes do not have heat...is that right?
Yes, especially in January - we have one or two freezes. We don't have central heat but do have fireplaces and space heaters - either gas or electric. It CAN be miserable because the stone houses have to have sun to warm up.......when there isn't sun it is not a happy time but that is usually only one or two days.
I leave in january so I don't experience that.......this is highly unusual for it to be this cold this early......
