Spam on the Blog

There has been an "anonymous" poster in the past few weeks who is posting ads on my blog. Even in Japanese........or Chinese.
Unfortunately I don't remember HOW to remove these nuisance posts. So, could someone remind me...........darn it.
And, in the meantime I've added back the need to post those silly little letters when you DO want to leave a real comment. Just til I "weed out" this irritating person who is posting.
Thanks for your understanding and help.

There should be a little trash can at the bottom left of each comment. Just click and answer the delete questions. I am getting them, too. But I moderate the comments before they end up on the blog.

If you don´t see the little trash cans, sign out of Google and sign back in again. You should see them.

And then zap VI.

Yes, well the spammer just commented He is VI. I won't say what I'm thinking about someone who has to aggravate someone who isn't hurting anybody.........sad.

I have been hit by a rash of spammers as well. I get notifications by email for old posts, which seems to be his modus operandi. So I reject the comments for viagra, cialis and other ilk.

I don't think anybody in this day and age minds having to type those letters for comment moderation. I have used it for years and gone are all those irritating self generated comments. However, recently I have been getting a lot of spam from people, not machines. Mostly advertising their own website, services or products for sale. Zap. Gone.

I had to enable word verification recently on my blog to filter out auto-spamming. I left moderation (by me) on as well, to weed out the occasional jerks.

Fortunately, there has been only one ever of the latter.
