I was 43 before I ever used that word. I remember the circumstance as though it were yesterday. I was in the dressing room of a Palais Royal store in Clear Lake, Tx. and I broke a fingernail.
As the word came out of my mouth I was dumbfounded. I looked around to make sure that my mother wasn't going to strike me dead from the grave. I was raised to believe that people who used foul language were not using their brain power or the vocabulary that parents worked so hard to teach us.
Fast forward to last night. I had just written what I thought was a pretty funny blog with photos. It was coming through on Picasa and the whole darn thing disappeared. Gosh I was irritated and I said out loud, "F--- it!" and turned out the light and went to bed.
Whereupon I started laughing at myself for using that word for something so ridiculous. BUT to be honest, it sure felt good.

Saving that word for very rare occasions makes it all the more meaningful - well all the more...uh? WTF!
Listen to you! You can't even bring yourself to spell it out! I find myself using it a lot if I'm around other people who say it. I'm kind of a mimic like that. Right now I have caught myself saying "puta madre!" all the time because my friend Ivan uses it a lot. Gotta stop that one!
What the devil is the F--- word?
Oh Miguelito, you devil you, trying to get me to say fuck! And now you have it........ha.
Google will probably turn my blog off now!
I have no idea why but I actually use that word all too frequently ...
I am appalled! I had no idea. Wikipedia defined the word for me. It is interesting because simply pronouncing the word provides a distinct sound effect resembling the subject at hand.
I wonder if that happens in other languages.
This word has never been seen on my website. I like to maintain a certain tone and, of course, allow children to pass by at any time. Without worry about their emotional development.
Miguelito - you make me laugh out loud!
Women have been laughing at me for years. That is, when they are not swooning.
I had no idea that one could blog from Picasa. How is that done?
(Just to even things up, I used the word, "chin%ado" on a Michoacán forum.)
Miguelito is a deep well of subtle humor. That's another reason why we love him.
Saludos,
Mike
Miguelito - Yah, yah, yah - I was just laughing, but not AT you.
Michael - At the bottom of the page of the library of your photos there is a place to click to print photos, email photos and there is a place to blog your photos. At least there is on my Picasa - being technologically challenged thats as detailed as I can get! And, Miguelito IS a deep well- the world would be a dull place without him!
I so agree. I come back just to see what Miquelito has added!
