And, I'm also glad that you have figured out how to post a comment. I wish more would do so.

It would be great fun to meet you and your friends, lunch would be preferable. After all the years of having to be up and dressed early in my working years, I try not to do that any more! Another of those little things that mean a lot. So, my email address is babsofsanmiguel@yahoo.com and I look forward to hearing from you.

I'm available on Thursday, the 11th, if that works for all of you.......Babshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16609157345912932083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34246214.post-41300501486227842092015-06-07T10:49:27.702-05:002015-06-07T10:49:27.702-05:00Bill, The house is called a "pocket" hos...Bill, The house is called a "pocket" hose and this one extends 50 ft. I saw them at Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, but bought mine at Target as there it was $10 less then Home Depot!

Initially when they first came out with these hoses in a marigold color, there were problems with them disintegrating and breaking. My first one did, but, at the time I didn't know that was a common problem.

Now they are a dark green color and are new and improved. Lowe's does NOT carry them as they said they were too much trouble initially..........

Will email you with a photo of what the box looks like later. I live in San Miguel, but friends from Texas turned me on to your blog. I didn't realize that I could comment, but now I know how, so watch out! You sound like your philosophy of life parallels my own. You are always so positive and appreciative of life, it always makes your blog posts so very uplifting. I want to thank you for that. Actually my friends from Texas are visiting me right now and will be here until the 17th. We would all love to meet you, as we already feel like we know you from reading your blog. It may be presumptuous to ask, but we are Texans after all. We would love to take you to lunch or breakfast, if you can work it into you obviously busy schedule. Of course, I'd be thrilled to meet you, even if it is after the 17th. Do they come in the same sizes as normal hoses? I'll have to check it out. I had a dollhouse that was made by my grandfather and electrified and everything. When I left to go to college, my dad gave it to the Salvation Army. I know I always appreciate an item more if it is a bargain. Maybe we are all the more grateful because we think before we buy? When I am shopping, I always ask myself: Now how on God's green earth will I get that home?

On my most recent trip, I did not pack home a little thing. I actually brought back my dollhouse. However, my husband and I will spend happy hours this summer... painting it, sewing new curtains and so on. The doll house was made by my grandfather and given to me on my first Christmas, and 62 Christmases later, we will give it to our granddaughterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34246214.post-59623377177943364702015-06-06T15:13:44.391-05:002015-06-06T15:13:44.391-05:00Thanks Barbara for posting. The difference they make in how we feel is important as well. As I've gotten older what I consider a luxury has changed so much. Now, as you say, it's more often than not the "little" things. Yet the feeling they impart is big! So I look for (hopefully on sale) luxuries and when I find them I, too, get them. You bet. Could be something like your long-awaited rug, could be a lovely cheese, a nice bottle of wine, splurging on a magazine I don't normally buy, a trip, shoes, a book I don't need but covet, or a special evening out. It's life lived on our own grand scale. The good life indeed!Barbara Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13619511749548265127noreply@blogger.com
