"Jazz" Living

As an Aries I can be impetuous, spontaneous and sometimes a bit nutty.........BUT sometimes all this pays off with the most amazing experiences. As the one I am having as I write.

The sun is out - YEAH - I'm in Vancouver Canada - an absolutely beautiful place and I'm enjoying myself. What the heck else could you ask for? Oh and yes, it is with the "Tequila Man". (Calypso you win the prize).

I laughed and laughed at all of your comments on the last blog. It was so much fun. Todd was so clever and RUCO was really on a roll. He DOES need to live in Mexico as Felipe says. So, RUCO and I have made contact and will meet with the Tequila Man this weekend for coffee. I didn't even know that RUCO lived in this area. How fun this blogging is for me.

Tequila Man is moving to San Miguel. He has sold his house, retired from his job, some of which was teaching Spanish, and so we'll be DRIVING back to San Miguel on a "grand road trip" in a couple of weeks. THAT should be an adventure!

I have a little time to myself today and was laying and thinking about this year. WOW it has been absolute changes in rhythms, musical notes and at times not so great. BUT this is great and fun.

I hope you'll enjoy reading about the journey of what might be the transition of a woman who was widowed thirty-0ne years ago who is going to attempt to incorporate someone else into her life on a regular basis. Lots of plans - much traveling in Mexico and South America are on the agenda. "We'll see".

If anything, I've learned that in "jazz living" the score can change at any time. AT present it is joyful and exhuberant. "Nothing ventured is nothing gained".......right?

You inspire me. Not with the tequila man thing, but with your chin up thing, your laughing out loud thing, your spirit thing.

was thinking of you yesterday when i spent the entire day designing with pencil and CAD and was lost in it and so happy. Like your Magic Carpet Ride post. I wish I had bought that old desk!
So, if you're wondering if we'll be following along, even if it's not the same ole same ole from you...of course, cuz it's never been. Cheers!

Wow Dana, what a beautiful comment. Sometimes I think I'm a nut case and I'm happy to know that some of what I say does have meaning.
Ahhh, I must say I do miss the escape of the "Magic Carpet ride" but not often enough to do something about it.
You asked for a photo of me at Mandolo's - I have a photo of the people at the bar, but I wasn't in it......Have fun on YOUR Magic carpet ride........

Babs - Remain calm and enjoy the moment. Don't push or get pushed just be there in that moment.

Life is a grand adventure!

Haven't been saying much lately but interrupting my silence to wish you the best. I am so happy for you. What is it about SMA that brings back youth? Just look at John W and how his life has changed.

Ahh, Calypso, thank you for your wise words - so true and I take it to heart.
Anon Calypso is a very wise man, I've found. And Teresa, who knows how this "road trip" will play out. But I appreciate the offer and will let you know as the time draws near.....At present, the plan is to make it to Newport, Oregon the first night, San Francisco the second etc.etc.
Yes First Mate, South America! It's on the agenda - won't that be fun?
Wayne, good wishes from you mean a lot to me - I don't know what IS going on but to find a possible "life partner" at this time in my life is a delight.

Must have missed an important post. What is a "Tequila Man"? Sounds like someone who will be a fun adventure partner and is making you very happy....and that's wonderful to hear :-)

Victoria BC is my most favorite place!! Beacon Hill Park in downtown Vic BC was just as impressive as Buchart - only on a smaller scale - a more manageable walk.

Beavers are a type of plane. Very good for bush flying as they can lift off with any load you can get in or strap to them.....but very noisy. Alot are on floats rather than wheels , since there is so much water/beach landing here in AK.

Wow, I am a new blogger and I didn't get from your blogs (which I love) that there was a man in your life. I wish you the best and it all sounds wonderful!

I am just so damn happy for you...doing the happy dance here in hot humid Houston resting up from 10 days with some very busy grandkids. Have a wonderful fabulous time with Tequila Man...looking forward to meeting this lucky guy someday. Barb, I love your gypsy soul and willingness to step into the unknown. Enjoy the ride!
